GEMS Annual General Meeting Friday 28th April 2017
To be held at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church (our usual venue)

You are invited to attend this year’s GEMS Annual General Meeting on Friday April 28th which has significant importance.
Many of you may know that since January, in the absence of an elected management committee at GEMS, a Temporary Steering Group (TSG) of GEMS members has volunteered to keep the organisation running until an elected management committee is in place and has also been working towards holding this year’s Annual General Meeting. From within the steering group an AGM Working Party has also worked diligently to plan and communicate the open nomination process for this important AGM.
An updated agenda for the AGM is attached on this website post (link below) with details of the nominated committee members, and at the AGM the GEMS members attending will be have the opportunity to vote on their appointment.
A statement of the organisations finances will be given together with explanatory narrative where required.
We are holding this AGM under the current organisational constitution that requires a minimum of 30 members be present in order to proceed with the election of a management committee. Therefore, to influence the continuance of the organisation we wish to highlight that it is essential that at least this number of people are present for the meeting. We kindly ask that as many members as possible attend.
